Saturday: Mybeautybox and Prom

Saturday was the day of my prom.
I woke up at 10 and started my day with some breakfast. While sitting there my dad came in with my first Mybeautybox. If you don't know, Mybeautybox is a subscription box with beauty related stuff in it. You usually get 4 products that are either samples or full size. They cost 129 kr a month buy you get it cheaper if you pay for 3, 6 or 12 months at once. I ordered a 3 month subscription where you get one box a month. I must say, i was pretty happy for my first box!

 I got a set of Eylure false lashes, a Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish in a blueish gray color called Gray by Gray, a Rimmel Glam Eyes Eyeliner in a purple color, a BodyNordic Kiss & Makeup Lip Gloss in brown, a sample of BodyNordic's protecting hand and nail cream and a Easysun tanning towelette.

The only thing i couldn't use was the liner, because of the color. Purple is not a good match for me, specially not when you have blue eyes, then you need some gold or bronze to compliment the color. I have already tried the hand cream and it is very moisturizing cream. There might be like 3 more uses in the sample, so it is not a small one, even though it is just a foil packet. The lip gloss is really pretty. I wore it at my prom and i loved the color. the color was very natural and shimmery but so pretty. The nail polish is more like a fall color, but i have tried it on one of my nails.

The value of my box was 338,82 kr and i only paid 129 for it. I am really happy about it! This box's theme was Fast Glam, so it was make up for women on the go. I like this concept and i am looking forward to my next box!

After looking at my box, i took a long shower and after that i started on my makeup. I know a lot of girls pay their hairdresser to do their hair and makeup, but i don't have that kind of money and i figured that i could do it myself, so i did. I used about 2 hours on my hair and makeup but that was because i messed up a couple of times and had to redo it. But it all went well and i was ready in time for us driving to Copenhagen where we were going to dance Les Lanciers.

When we got into Copenhagen there was this huge demonstration because of 4/20 which is also national marijuana day. So there was a demonstration for legalizing marijuana and they were all over the space where we were going to dance. Luckily they left for a walk around the city 15 minutes before we had scheduled to dance, so it all worked out fine.

 That is me, standing in my prom dress with trash and marijuana all over the place. It all worked out great, except for the low music so we couldn't hear when to do what, but it was alright.
After the dance, we took a group photo on the stairs in front of Copenhagen's town hall ad then we walked to the restaurant where we were going to eat. It was this Turkish place called Sultan Place and the food was great. I don't think anyone walked away from the restaurant hungry anyways. After a couple of hours we walked down to the place where out bus was going to pick us up. We had rented a partybus and that was probably the most fun thing i have ever tried with my class. We drove out to the little mermaid my the ocean and there we had more pictures taken. after that we just drove a bit around in Copenhagen while listening to loud music and drinking alcohol. We all  had fun, but because of all the alcohol that was consumed we had to stop twice in 2 hours to get to a bathroom.. The driver did not like us at the end of the ride..

When we got to the school, we walked up the red carpet and got even more pictures taken. All the pictures..! Then we were going to dance in front of our parents in the gym. That went a lot better than in Copenhagen because we could hear the music and then it was a lot easier, but unfortunately i stepped in my dress and almost fell over, but i didn't and i just danced on. So embarrassing! The rest of the night i only danced the Lanciers dances and not on the dancefloor between the dances because i was afraid someone would step on my dress and ruin me. But i danced all the dances and then i went home and straight to bed.. after i had removed my makeup, gotten out of the dress, fixed my hair and brushed my teeth. We had actually gotten an offer at a disco to get in for free and there was going to be some cheap drinks, but i was not in the mood and certainly not in my prom dress! When i got home i got a call from Simon and we talked a bit before i went to bed. All in all, a great day!

Prom among other things

We are getting closer and closer to prom and i don't really know what to expect from the entire day. Right now i think the dancing in Copenhagen, the dining and the ride to the school is going to be fun, but the party at the school is something i am a bit doubtful about. Mostly because the parties at the school have gradually gotten more boring and less people have been showing up. I think the reason is the fact that there is a lot of smokers on the school and it is no longer allowed to smoke on the schools premises so a lot of the students choose not to go to the parties, just because they can't smoke. Also i'd rather expect a lot less and be pleasantly surprised than being disappointed for making too high expectations.

My dress is still at the tailor's and i haven't heard anything from her yet, but as long as it gets done before next Saturday, i'm happy. I've just kinda counted on wearing my nude pumps with my dress but now i am looking at these babies:

I think they are really pretty and kinda special but i don't know if it is my style or something i will wear a whole lot. I don't wanna buy them just for this event, you know? They are 13,5 cm high, have a 5 cm plateau  and with a heel as thick as those, they should be pretty comfortable. Also, i love the color and i think they will fit my dress really nice. They are not too expensive, but i know that if i'm gonna buy them, it has to be soon so they can arrive on time. If you are interested in these shoes, you can buy them here

Remember when i talked about the trouble me and Iben probably were going to make? We kinda dyed her hair a crazy color and we have to do it again right before prom, because it is already kinda washed out. But we dyed her beautiful red hair, pink in the ends, like a dip-die. It was soooo pretty!!
This week we are going to dye my hair, because i'm not gonna have totally dark roots at my prom! :)
Next week i am going to the hairdresser to get a haircut. I think the last time i got one was in September, so my hair could probably use it. Even more because of the dyeing. When you bleach your hair it gets more damaged and dry than if you dye your hair any other color. Also, my hair is a bit too long for the hairdo i want to.

Recently i've ordered two new dresses that i am really exited to try on when they get here. I think they are really pretty and i've been eyeing one of them for a long time and when it was on a sale, i chose to buy it. Here they are:

It's getting closer!

The prom is getting closer and closer.
I ordered my dress a couple of weeks ago, and it had to be imported from USA, which is why it took so long for them to ship it, but Wednesday i got a text saying my dress was in the post office.
I got so excited and happy. Thursday i picked it up and i could not wait to try it on even though i had to do tons of other things. I tried it on and sadly, it's a little too big. Luckily we know a female tailor who can sow the dress into my size.
Yesterday i was fooling around with my hair to figure out how to do it for prom and i think i got it down pretty much! I think it's gonna be something like this hair-do.

I'm still figuring out what kind of shoes to wear or if i need to buy some new ones, but i think it will be my nude heels.

The same day i got an order home from E.L.F cosmetics. It's really affordable and great quality considering the prize so it's always nice to get what you've ordered.
I also just ordered some more make up, a pair of sunglasses and some fashion tape for my prom dress so it wont fall down when i'm dancing at the prom from ASOS.I just can't help ordering stuff. Lately i've been a lot into lip stuff like lipsticks, lip glosses and lip liners. Don't know why but i really like it.

Friday i was at my last test before spring break and i don't know how to think it went. I mean, i answered all of the questions and had one hour left. Didn't want to screw it up so i just left.
Now i only need to do one last essay before my real break begins. Stupid danish teacher..

My plan for next week is:
Monday: Paint the guest room, go to movie night at Pernille's.
Tuesday: Work out..? I've got these work out movies that i've been wanting to try!
Wednesday: Go to Lyngby with my sister and mother for shopping
Thursday-Sunday: Home alone... What to do then? :)
Maybe have some friends over? Clean up my room.. Maybe.. I really don't know yet, all i know is that i have to take care of my sisters fish and bunny.. I'm probably gonna forget it..


Once again - I'm sorry for not posting! Last week was full of tests, the week before that was full of a lot of anger and stuff and i probably should tell you what it is all about, but i don't think it matters any more because of the tests..

Christmas, Hauls and Blabber

I know that i haven't been as active as i could have been during the Christmas period. It it pretty much a natural reason, around Christmas, you spend time with family and friends and you don't sit on the computer all the time. Yes, i could just blog from my phone, but i didn't feel like i had anything to tell really.. :) Also, my computers have been broken so it was kinda hard to blog.

This Christmas we were only 5 people. Normally we're about 7-9 people because we invite my grandparents, but they all had different Christmases to go to. We had a lovely dinner! I love the Christmas food, because it is just so good and you only get it rarely so i had a feast! After that we played a game and then there was dessert, where i won a present! Afterwards we sat in the sofa and started unwrapping gifts.

We unwrapped presents for some time and then we watched a movie together before going to bed :) This is what i got for Christmas:

Today i did a little bit of shopping and i just felt like showing you guys what i got. I don't really know why, but maybe some of you would like to know.

I got a hair doughnut, for making hair buns, iGloves, hair pins, concealer, two mascaras, some liquorice and a bun maker. The hair doughnut is something i've had great success with. It works great and i love the hairstyles you can get. The other bun maker was probably a mistake, because i do not know how to use it and it just looks weird.. Maybe i just need to learn how to use it before knowing if it's good or not. Hair pins is always good and i suggest getting ones that is close to your hair color so they aren't so visible. iGloves, gloves for a smartphone - no explanation needed and they work. A new concealer, because i was running out. Two new mascaras, one was free and i wanted to try them both so i got them. They are really good, i can't decide which one is better actually. The liquorice is just some sweet finish liquorice which tasted really good!

This might have been a lot of blabber to you and if so, i'm sorry, but here is a bit more!

Why is it that you miss a person a lot right after you've seen them? If there is someone you haven't seen for sometime, and then you see each other, i always feel like the the days right after is the hardest to get over. This is just how i feel, but the days right after seeing each other, you just feel like there was many more things to do with the person than what you did with them. If it's a person i really like, i feel like i didn't have enough time with them and i know that it sounds weird and sure i can get enough of certain people, but if i really care about that person, i just need more time to be with them. It's hard to explain and i hope it doesn't sound too weird. You probably know the feeling yourselves. But then after a certain amount of time with missing a person, you kinda forget how they make you feel and the missing disappears more and more.. And even though you know, that you'll see each other in a few days, it's always the days right after that are the hardest to get through.. 

Don't judge, it is just some feelings i needed to get out. This is really what my blog was for.

Tomorrow i am going to the movies with Mette, Mikkel and Schmidt. We're watching the Hobbit and i am looking forward to it! I think we are going out to eat together afterwards but i'm not entirely sure :)

New Years is only a couple of days away and i know that dress i'm going to wear, but the shoes, make up and hair is still a mystery.. It it going to be red, black or nude heels? Is the make up going to be dark, dramatic, light, natural, glittery or matte? Is the hair going to be an updo, half updo or loose? Is it going to be straight, curly, wavy or texturized? I do not know yet and i need to find out quickly.. HELP ME!

SRP, dates, new nails and a little tip

So I need to be done with my SRP this wednesday and I have written 11 pages in the last couple of days. I'm so proud of myself! I am still missing the abstract, start, conclusion and the last question so I will definitely reach the 15 pages!


I had a couple of dates some days ago. One was a trip to the movies with Iben and the other was a sushi date with Mette. The movie date was really fun and cozy. We ate great food and had fun and the movie was actually quite good! The sushi date was sadly cancelled, but we are planing a new one cuz us girls need our sushi! ;) when Mette called me with the bad news about her not coming, I was already on my way so I went on, bought some Christmas presents and brought home sushi for myself. It was really good and I got it really cheap too! I ordered a lunch menu because it has 18 pieces and costs only 89 kr when it's after 16:30, but for some reason I got it for 69 kr! So cheap! Now I'm only needing Christmas gifts for my dad and four grandparents, if any of you have a suggestion of what I could buy, let me know because I'm at a loss.

I put on some new nailpolish today just to change it up. I'm wearing a navy blue on all of my fingers except my ring fingers which are black. They are all topped off with the matte top coat and on the black nails I went in and made some zebra stripes in black. Not very noticeable but very cool!

One basecoat, two coats of either the navy or the black, one coat of the matte finisher, black polish for the stripes. 


Now I got a tip for all those lovely fake blondes like me out there! Well, I am a blonde, just not this blonde!
A couple of months ago I bought the "a touch of silver" shampoo set. I did this because I felt like my hair was getting yellow and that is not something you want! You get a "twice a week brightening shampoo", a "daily conditioner" and a "daily shampoo" for the price of 8£ on the English amazon (here). I got a good amount of product. 200 ml pr container and 150 ml of the twice a week shampoo. The only thing i'm running out of is the conditioner, but i have a tendency to use way too much conditioner.
What you do is, you wash your hair with the twice a week shampoo as it says, twice a week and you keep it in for 5 minutes before rinsing it out. Then you apply the conditioner. On days where you wash your hair and aren't using the brightening shampoo, you use the daily shampoo and wash your hair as normal, afterwards you apply the conditioner. I've been using these products for some months now and I will say, they really work! Or at least for me it did. We all have different hair and I can't say how or if it will work on your hair. Now the thing about the brightening shampoo is that it is a purple shampoo and when I say purple, I mean very purple! It is a bit scary the first time you use it, but I will promise you that your hair won't get purple unless you overuse the brightening shampoo, so please don't do that ;)

You can see kinda how it colors my hair a bit purple, but it rinses right out. Even though it says it is for grey, white or plantinum blonde hair, it works great with a natural blonde color, it just removes the yellow tint that appers after a couple of weeks. You can also see the shampoo on my finger and the color of it so it is a bit scary first time you use it. 


I feel like this is a great product and I really works. If you don't want to pay that amount of money on shampoo I can totally understand you, it is just a tip if you don't want that yellow tint in your hair :)
By the way, now that we are talking about hair, mind is really growing out and since I have quite dark hair it looks kinda silly.. I know that I'm not going to color it again because my scalp did not like it. I had huge sores and they were disgusting! Maybe I'll get my hairdresser to do it when I have the money.. Or maybe I'll let it grow out.. What do you guys think?

I did something wild..

So if you didn't know, i dyed my hair.
It was supposed to be a little lighter, but we had to bleach my hair to get it lighter and in a matter of minutes my hair was a mixture of light/ice blonde and redish hair. Luckily for me, we were going to color my hair again and it became a pretty blonde, with a red tint to it.

I colored it this Thursday and got quite a lot of compliments.

It is something to get used to, but i like it! And i'm really happy about how it turned out.
