Christmas time! Giant haul!

It is the 3rd of December and i did not do two posts in November.. I know, i know.. But whenever i write on my blog, it has to be about something and not just because i have to. 

This is a post i have wanted to do for a while, i just haven't got around to it. It is a very big haul and it is from a couple of months. 

For one thing, i like to be able to try the things i buy before writing about them and i think i have been able to for some time now. 

Here are the first things: 

I bought a matching hat and scarf which is so soft and lovely! I really enjoy them in these cold winter and fall months. 

Then i bought a pair of Nike TR Fit 3. I chose these because i have had my eyes on these for some time now, they were just sold out all over the internet. So when i found them in a sports shop in Næstved i just had to have them. They were quite expensive, but i don't think i have had a more comfortable pair of shoes and i will definitely get a lot of use out of these.

Then i bought a pair of sunglasses. You might be thinking: "Why the hell buy sunglasses in October?" and my answer would be: Well, the weather can still be sunny and you can still be in need of a pair of sunglasses. I bought some not that long ago, which broke before i went on vacation this summer, so i bought a new pair on Langeland. They weren't really that good quality, and they broke as well. So in the airport i bought a new pair of sunglasses in H&M and they got really scratched up somehow. This is why i bought a new pair. Also, they were only 20 kr so it wasn't like i got broke buying them. The concealer was not my favorite. It can be used and i am going to, but it doesn't really give much coverage. The mascara is amazing! I absolutely love it! I now understand why every big youtube makeup guru has the covergirl version! The last thing is an oil for my nails. My nail are very soft so i'm trying to give them a lot of good stuff so they can grow stronger. I really like this oil. It is easy to apply and absorbs quickly into the skin and cuticle. 

The next thing is this. Do you remember the "My beauty box" which wasn't really a success? Well, i wanted to try another kind, so i did. This one is called Goodiebox and i have gotten 2 for now and there is a 3rd on the post office i can collect. This is another danish box but it has both danish and American/British makeup brands. This one also claims to be fitted to your looks and preferences. When you make the order on the website, you have to write your hair color, skin color, if you like colors of naturals, skintype and so on. You also did this with the other box but it was often a bad match. This one seems to have got that point down. Everything i have gotten seems to match me really well!  The first box i got was called "The Brit Box" which had a selection of British drugstore brands and products.

Here is a look of the box and what i saw when i opened it.

The first thing is a baked bronzer from the brand Famous X by Sue Moxley. I got it in shade 1 Miami. I love the packaging on this. It is really pretty with the leopard print. The color looks very light, but works pretty well with my skin color. I'm not gonna use the brush in there, because they have a tendency to be rough against the skin. I like this bronzer. It looks great on my face and it is a full size product. The estimated price of this is 80 Danish kr, which seems good for this size of product.

The next thing is the Fashionista Secret Gel Liner 24/7 Style. It doesn't have a name but it has a brown/bronze color. The packaging is really smart. You get a brush in the top of the lid and you get quite a lot of product in this one. I like the brush and i like the consistency of the product, but not really the color. Maybe i just need to play with this a little bit more before i say more about it. The price is estimated to be 70 Danish kr which also seems fair for this product.

 This is the Makeup Academy Trio Lipgloss in the color Temptress. I do not care for this kind of packaging. It came with a sponge applicator which doesn't really work for this. The colors are nice and i would totally rock these colors. I just wished that i had gotten one full size lipstick instead of three small colors, but the different colors are nice and can be used. They have a good pigmentation to them and this trio was estimated to be 40 Dk kr which is so cheap and i very good price for three lip colors even if it is small amount of the different colors.

This is the Look Beauty Cheeky Trio in Candy floss. This has a highlighter, a blush and a bronzer. The pigmentation of the bronzer is not that high but is shows up as a subtle bronzer which probably is what it should. The blush has a nice color but not a lot of pigmentation, i need a good amount of product before getting the payoff i want. The highlighter is amazing. It has the right amount of shimmer and the right color. This was estimated to 90 Danish kr which is fair for three big sized products.

The last thing is this beautiful eyeshadow. I fell in love with the color as soon as i saw it. It is the Look Beauty Statement Eyes in shade 18 Luxe. This is the most beautiful bronze glitter eyeshadow i have ever seen. It has a great feeling on the skin and a good color payoff. The only thing is, it has quite some fallout. So if you want to use this for a night out and don't want glitter all over, you would need to do your eyes first and then your face. Not a big problem there though. This was estimated to be 40 Danish kr which again is really cheap for makeup. You can not get a lot for 40 kr in a makeup store!

All in all, a very good box with five full size products. I pay 139 Danish kr for this and the value was 320 kr. Amazing and definitely a hit for me! This made me very exited for the next box, which dropped in only a couple of days later because i was lucky to get the October box. Now to the November box.

The November box was the essential beauty items from this fall.

I just love the look of these boxes. They are so classic and cute. This was the first look of and into the box.

The first product i already had. This is a nail polish remover sponge from the drugstore. Really a smart idea and i am gonna use this when i am done with the other one. The only thing i don't like is that you get nail polish remover all over your fingers. This can be washed right off, it just bugs me a bit.
The prize of this is 50 Danish kr

The next thing is an eyeshadow quattro from Gosh called Bohemian Gypsy. The colors has a nice neutral shades in the darker end of the scale. On the swatch under here, you can see that they all have some shimmer to them but i don't complain. Shimmer colors are always easier to work with and i have some colors that could work with these to make a great look.

In the quattro we have a brown, a blueish gray, a dusty rose and a redish bronze. These colors are really pretty and good for fall and darker looks. The prize of this is 130 Danish kr. I am not surprised of this prize. Gosh has quality products for a bit more and i don't complain.

This is the Appeal 4 nail polish in Lavender Daffodil, a nice creamy lavender color. On my nail, i have two coats and it covers really good. This color for me, doesn't say fall, but spring. This is a pastel, but i will get some use out of this. The prize of this is 79 Danish kr, a pretty normal prize for a nail polish this size.

The next product was a sample. Of course they can't give you an entire bottle of perfume. This is the Flora Fruity by Gucci. This particular one is the Gorgeous Gardenia and i like it. It has flowery notes as well as fruity notes and it is pretty much the smell i normally get drawn to. Not to sweet, but sweet enough. A full size is 455 Danish kr.

Another sample. I am happy that this is a little tube and not a foil packet. This matches my skin color, but i haven't had a chance to try it out on my face. This is the Rimmel Stay Matte foundation in Ivory. A full size is 70 Danish kr which is good for a foundation. I decide if i'm going to buy this foundation when i have tried it out. 

 The last thing is another Gosh product. This is a Cheek'n Lips Cream product in the color Earth Bound. It has quite a dark color both on the cheeks and the lips and i haven't really figured out how this should work on the cheeks. I'm afraid of rubbing off any foundation, concealer or powder underneath. It will probably be great for a day where you want a natural look and not have that much makeup on. The prize of this is 90 Danish kr.

Once again the box was a hit for me! There is really only one product i am not that into, but who knows? maybe it will win me over at one point. The prize of the entire box was again 139 kr and the value is 349 kr without the samples. That is a good value and i like these boxes. I can't wait for the next one!!

Commitment

Today i'm going to talk a little about stuff i want to commit to.

Recently I've started training. It is something called crossfit and it is three times a week. Before i started i knew what crossfit was, because i'd tried it before a couple of times. I knew it was going to be hard work, but it was so much worse than i remembered it. I tried it with my P.E. class in school where we did one and a half full hours, i think. Yes it was tough and i was beaten up afterwards, but i kinda liked being pushed to the edge. The second and third time i tried it, my mom had dragged me with her around Christmas. There was a lot more running in this kind of crossfit but it was what i needed, because I've always hated that i cant run very far before my legs start giving up on me.

So this time around i started at the same team i tried out this Christmas - almost a year ago and about 6 months after my last workout. In the time i wasn't working out, they got another trainer to get some variation in the way we workout. One of the trainers likes running a lot (NOT my cup of tea!) and the other likes to do a lot of exercises (Better, but still really tough!). Oddly enough i like the one who likes to run. She lets me off a bit, so i don't have to do as many reps of the exercise as the ones who have been training for longer time. The reason for this is to prevent injuries - you can't really just throw yourself out there and just go at it if your muscles aren't used to it!

I've been going for a week now and my body is aching all over! You really don't know what you use your muscles for before they are hurting with every little movement. I'm gonna commit to this kind of workout and there is nothing called "I don't want to go." I'm going unless it is cancelled or if i'm sick. I need to do this. Not because i want to drop a lot of weight, but i want to get more trimmed. My drive and kinda the reason why i'm doing this, is because i was surprised about the fact that I've put on 3 kilograms since i stopped school. Now, this might not sound healthy or a reason to want to loose weight, but I've always been one of those people who could not put on weight, no matter how hard i tried. I've always been underweight with a BMI on 18 or 19, but now my BMI is 20,66 which means that i have a normal weight. It's not like i want to be underweight, i just felt better and feel i looked better when i was a little lighter. I can definitely see the the kilos on my body, but it is probably because i know that it is there and that it annoys me, so it is the only thing i focus on when i look at myself in the mirror. 

But i'm going to keep going until my body looks the way i want it to, or until i don't have the time because of studies or a job. 

Another thing i am gonna get committed to, is writing applications. I am on a job hunt right now, the only thing holding me back is the fact that i don't want to write applications. And that is a pretty big problem! You can't really get a job without applying for them. So that is definitely something i need to do.

A last thing i'm gonna commit to, is my blog. I want to post twice a month at least. It shouldn't be that hard but sometimes i just don't feel like sitting down and writing a whole lot. But i'm gonna do it! There is probably something to talk about and if not, i'll have to find something. 

My life and my piercing..?

Yet again i haven't been blogging.. A lot of things has been going on in my life, working on Lolland and having all of your social life back at home. It's been pretty difficult for me and at the same time a life lesson.
Even just thinking about all of the things i have experienced can bring me to tears, that's how overwhelming it has been..  The thing is, when you have a lot of people you care about at home and you are about 160 km away, it is hard not feeling like you miss a lot. And i would lie if i said that there hasn't been days where i didn't want to be here. It's been an emotional roller coaster and it is all done in about a week. Next Wednesday is the day where i pack up all of my stuff down here and head home for good.

Then you might ask, well what are you going to do at home? Get a job? Start applying for whatever i'd like to study?.. The answer is: I don't know. Simple as that. I'll probably start applying for a job, any job that i can get really. I'm not being picky right now, i just need some money.. Hopefully i will be able to get some more free time and be able to see all of my friends when ever i want. 

One thing i know for sure is going to happen when i get home is, that i will join a gym.  I need something to spend my time on, instead of just lying around, doing nothing while trying to get a job. I've already set somewhat of a goal. I want to get down to the weight i had a couple of years ago. It's not because i think i'm fat - i know that i am not. But over the last two years, I've gained 6 kilos. Some of it has been 'good weight' - the kind of weight that has given me some curves, but i would like to tighten everything up and drop around 4 kilos if i can. The thing is, i also want to build some muscles and then you can't really drop kilos, because muscles weighs more than fat. I know that i am not even above 60 kilos right now, but i want to get down to 55-54 kilos. Just because i loved how i looked when i weight that. I still love my body, but i would love it a little more, if it weight a little less. So when i'm done here, i'm gonna buy some small weights and maybe some protein powder to get my workout started. The weights is for workouts at home for the days i want to work out, but not go to the gym. I wanna try to go 2-3 times a week and it doesn't matter what time a day i'm going. I will follow up on this on the blog and update how my workout and goal is coming. 

Now for something else! I'm going to tell you guys about my piercing experience!
As some of you know, i got a tragus piercing after my math exam.
Right after getting my grade in school, Iben and i took a train to Copenhagen train station. We were a bit early, so we walked down to the shop called Gorlubb Piercing and stood outside it for a couple of minutes before continuing down the road to some shops where we looked at some shoes until 10 minutes before our appointment. Once again we stopped outside the shop, Iben had a cigarette while i put up my hair, and then we went in.

Right when you walk in, you come into this little store with a lot of show windows full of jewelry for piercings. We sat down across from the pay desk at a little table where i got some papers to fill about allergies, health and such stuff. After filling it out i had to pick the jewelry that should go in my ear, i picked a 1.6 mm bar in chrome steel (i think) and which ear to put the piercing in. After that, i met the piercer, Sakko, and we got shown into a small room where the piercing was going to happen. I sat down in the big chair in casually and then he told me where he thought my piercing would look the best. After that he talked me through how it was going to go down. We talked a little bit more before he counted to 3 while i tried to breathe as calmly as i could. We had arranged for him to count down, so i knew when the needle came. When he reached 3, he poke the needle in my ear and yes, it did hurt. Then he told me to keep breathing while he pushed the needle all the way through my ear. This was when i had a bit of difficulty breathing calmly. He did it and put in the jewelry and then started wiping off the blood and then we talked a little bit more. He told me how to take care of my piercing and i also got it in writing so i wouldn't forget. Then i payed and we went to get something to eat.

That is about 4 and a half months ago now. I am really happy that i got it done, i have no regrets!

It is in my left ear, just to be clear and now it has a silver jewelry with a clear stone in.

I am really satisfied with the piercing and really happy that i got it and i can only recommend Gorlubb piercings! 

Vacation and other stuff!

I am very much aware of the fact that i haven't been blogging.
The thing is.. I just haven't had the time..
Yes I've been on vacation and yes i could probably have blogged there, but i didn't. I just didn't feel like sitting in front a computer all night for a blog post.

I can tell you what i have been doing, if you want me to?
I graduated from school and the week after that, there was a lot of parties and fun. Then i came down, where i am now, to work for a little week and after that i went to Langelandsfestivalen. It was great, even though the music didn't really come first. There was quite a few artist i wanted to see, but didn't because of the weather. Not because it was raining or too cold, but because it was too hot to stand in the sun and when your energy have been drained all day by the sun, one of the last things you want to do is standing up for an hour or two. I was also sick for two days and there my energy was even more drained. I slept the whole day, didn't really eat and only moved outside my tent if i had to go to the toilet. Everyone at my camp was really nice and helpful, asking if i wanted something to eat or if i wanted to lay outside in the shade, they were taking really good care of me.
When we got home, which was one long trip!, I spend the night at Simon's and the next day was my birthday. So at night my grandparents and I drove in to my sisters apartment and ate dinner and the next day, we were off to Spain. We spend almost two weeks in Barcelona going around the city and watching everything that had to be watched. I think i'm done with Barcelona for a while.. unless it is on a shopping vacation and in that case, i need to make some more money!
After we got home, i had about 2 days before i was going to Lolland, more precisely, Nysted, to work for my godmother. That was about a month ago and I've been every now and again taking the train back and forth if i had to do anything at home, like a party or a birthday or something like that.

Since my last blog, my addiction has moved from The Vampire Diaries to Two Broke Girls. I'm actually waiting for a new season on that, on Awkward. and on Pretty Little Liars, so maybe i should get back to watching The Vampire Diaries? I mean, I am only 2 seasons in that and I know for a fact that there is a lot more! I've also come across a problem i haven't really had before. I don't have enough internet on my iphone. 2GB is enough when you are going to facebook and so on, using your 3G like that, but for watching series and films on youtube, it is definitively not enough. Maybe it's because it's the only thing I've got to watch down here. There is no working TV, no Wifi and almost no signal.. Great.. so for the last two month i have bought 6 and 10 extra GB just because i ran out. It's really not that expensive, but 2GB on 40 days is not enough for me anymore..

I am actually at work right now, but there is no one on the streets and therefore no customers.. Really boring! Because when there is no customers, we have to clean... and I'm not a fan of cleaning.. So right now i am waiting on my godmother to get back from a meeting so i can get home to little Ganløse and have some real fun!

Busy, busy, busy!

Sorry that i haven't been blogging. I've just been so busy lately. All i do right now is study for my finals and it is getting pretty boring..!

There is about 4 days until i'm done and i can't wait! I am sick of reading all of this stuff that i am probably never going to use again, but it might help on my finals.

I am happy to say that i am going to graduate and get my hat, but it has been a journey to get here. During the last three years i have had the greatest time of my life and made some really good friends. Hopefully we'll keep the contact even though some of them are going to uni. 

For the last couple of weeks i have been going to finals. The written exams were okay but in the lower end of the scale. The others have been pretty good and i am pleased with the results. Now my final exam is this Monday and it is in religion. I don't really know how to prepare but i'm trying. I am the first to go to this exam and the first to get my hat, but it is kinda nerve racking. I have no idea how this exam is going to run and when you are the first one, it can go so wrong or so right. Hopefully it will go just fine.

Even though I've been studying for my exams, I've also done some other things. I've been out with Mette and Iben to finally get the sushi I've wanted for so long, I've gotten a tragus piercing, I've been to the beach with my friends, I've been to Buresø with Iben, I've been to Ballerup with Iben.. I've been doing quite a few things actually and my summer is pretty booked as well. 

Monday i'm getting my hat, but i am staying on the school to see my classmates get their hat too. Also i have some packages i need to get at the post office and that evening, we have family and friends coming over to celebrate me graduating. Friday is the day for graduation on the school and the day I've been looking forward to since prom. We are going on our truck ride. It is going to be wild. My entire class are going to have a party in a truck where we are driving from one students house to the next. It is just going to be awesome! And after the party bus ride we had at prom, my expectations are high. Then comes the parties. I am invited to 6 graduation parties and i am throwing one myself, but mine is mixed with my birthday. I believe that the girls and i are going to hit some clubs to celebrate as well, but you never know.

Hopefully there isn't going to be any parties while i am on Lolland. Just because i don't want to miss anything, but i also need the money that i am going to make. I promised my godmother to come down between the 8th and the 12th. Then i have a few days at home before going to Langelandsfestivalen for about two weeks. The girls and i will be down there fro the 16th and we will go home the 28th. The 29th is my birthday and i am home alone.. But I've made plans with my grandparents so i don't have to sit home alone. The 30th  i am going to Barcelona with my sister and her boyfriend and when we get there, our parents will come get us at the airport. We are going to stay there until the 10th and then i am probably going to Lolland again before either starting a job or start looking for a job. I already feel kinda stressed out about all of my plans.

My Week, Finals, Graduation and Mybeautybox

Finally i have some time to sit down and actually write a blog post.

This Tuesday was my last day of school and because of that we had a great time, with breakfast in school, fought with water, played football against the teacher, dressed up in costumes and partied all night. The students actually won against the teachers and sadly, my iphone got water on it so it kind of has a water damage now..
We slept in tents on the school grounds, but it rained and we were 3 persons in a tent for 2 so the rain kinda went right through the tent... We were told our finals Wednesday morning at 8:45 and i apparently drew the short straw, because i have not one, but two math exams and i, if you don't know, hate this kind of math, so that is great.. My last exam is religion and i'm quite pleased with that :) I am officially done with school the 24th at 9:18, where i am done with my last exam and on the 28th there is graduation and then there is the truck ride around to all of our parents and it is going to be wild!

I had my first exam this Friday, it was danish exam and i felt like it went okay :) after the exam i went down and bought some snacks, for the party the entire class was invited to, and picked up a package. It was in my teachers apartment and it was really cozy and fun, but i went home at 00:30 because i just felt too tired to stay anymore.  Even though i went home early, i had a great evening and i actually ended up being grill master. I was so good! It was delicious!

Before going to the party, i opened the package that i had gotten and it was MyBeautyBox! It is always a surprise what you get in those.

 I got a Sally Hansen nail polish with a crackle effect in Ink Splatter, a Astor VIP 3 tone blush in the color 003 - brown, a W7 mascara  called Show Stopper in blackest black and a Sinful Colors Extra Shiny Lipgloss in 2280 Virginia Beach. All full size products with a total value of 290 kr for the prize of 129 kr. It was okay, but i was more impressed with my last box. This box' theme was Fun and Flirty Beauty.

The nailpolish is great. I already know, and i haven't even tried it on my nails yet. I have a nailpolish in the same style from OPI, but it was really expensive and it has already gotten thick. This one is only half the price and i know and love the Sally Hansen polishes.

Here it is over some white nailpolish. 

The 3 tone blush is not something i am impressed with. It has a brown/orange color and it is just not something i would use as a blush. I can probably make it work at a bronzer, but not as a blush. I am more into the pink and peach shades when it comes to blushes.It is also very shimmery and it is just not that good. It feels smooth and silky, but i am not into the color of it. Hopefully i can make this work for me, because if not it is just a waste..

The mascara is another thing that i am not that impressed about. When i go out looking for a new mascara, i look for the most volumizing mascara because i already have the length and the curve. This mascara is a fiber mascara, which should attach to the lashes, making them longer and fuller. For me, it gives more length than volume and it is sadly not what i am searching, but i think it could work if you layer it with some other mascaras. Is has a flat cone shaped brush and i am not really into it.

The last thing was the lipgloss. It has a nice pink color, but it is also very pigmented and i didn't really expect that. It has a vanilla scent which isn't very pleasant and it is kind of sticky. I am not really into it, right now, but maybe i can make this one work also. I don't know yet. Maybe if i only wear a thin coat?

All in all this box was kind of a miss for me. The only thing i really liked was the nailpolish but let's just see if i like the others in some time.

Yesterday i spend with Simon. It has been so long since we were together, just the two of us and yesterday we both had time, finally. We didn't really do that much, but i really enjoy spending time with him. 

Today has been a day where i have been relaxing before the reading begins. I have to study before going to the exam on Wednesday so i can do just a little bit better than the tests we have made.
